NEXT High School: Overview

Project-Based Learning

Project-Based Learning (PBL) is our guiding methodology: we operate our programs through a recursive cycle of Interest > Inquiry > Impact to build authentic experiences, tools, opportunities, and networks connected to the real world.

Real-world PBL is the foundation for all parts of NEXT High School's model. Peers choose and build projects for real life; learn from Pros who guide project goals and community connection, and apply core knowledge and skills. This approach embraces entrepreneurial values and practical application, empowering Peers to learn and to build their future.

In short, Project-Based Learning gives our Peers the chance to create real-world value now by building businesses, non-profits, inventions, events, intellectual property, and more.

Pillars of Respect

At NHS our expectations of Peer behavior are based on three Pillars of Respect:

  • Respect Yourself

  • Respect Others

  • Respect the Space

As Peers and Pros, we strive to use these basic concepts to build and share a professional, respectful, and productive environment.
