NEXT High School will implement a trimester model for the 2015-16 school year. Trimester models divide the school year into three parts with approximately three (3) 12-week sections.
This schedule provides us with flexibility in course offerings, increased instructional time, and a better integration of project-based learning into the academic schedule.
NHS' daily schedule will begin with students logging into their computers, checking email, catching up with peers and Pros, and grabbing a cup of coffee. From there, you will have a day that balances your work on core curriculum (Science, English, Math, Social Studies, etc.), and your work on projects that bring value to your real world. In other words, your daily schedule will be both structured and flexible.
